While we're on the topic of school buses that run on fuel other than diesel....
Friday welcomed the sale of a hybrid school bus in Virginia. It uses both diesel and electricity-- and with the "stop-and-go" motion of the bus, the motor can constantly charge. Although the buses cost a bit more in the beginning, they save a lot in fuel and are very helpful for the environment.

In Virginia, one school system is trying a new kind of fuel: propane! By switching from diesel to propane, it is more fuel efficient and causes less noise. What a great idea!
